ABOUT TILLO CUP™
The Tillo Cup™ is a premier sporting event held annually at the Hanuman Jew Stadium in Tillo, Bhadrak, Odisha. Established in 1990 as the Bandana Trophy, it has grown from a local cricket competition into a renowned international tournament showcasing exceptional talent . Over the years, the tournament has hosted prominent domestic and international teams, including players from IPL, international leagues, and emerging global stars. With participants from India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Afghanistan, and beyond, the Tillo International Cup has become a cornerstone of Odisha’s sporting culture, promoting grassroots development and offering a platform for young athletes to achieve global recognition.
ABOUT TILLO ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION
Founded in 1990, the Tillo Athletic Association (TAA) is a visionary sports organisation based in Tillo, Bhadrak, Odisha. Established under the leadership of Late Ramesh Chandra Swain and Dr. Manmath Roul, the association aims to foster sports talent among youth, especially in rural areas. Over the decades, TAA has organised numerous state and national-level events, nurturing athletes who have gone on to represent Odisha and India. The association has been instrumental in promoting various sports, including cricket, football, volleyball, and athletics, and is committed to building a vibrant sports culture in the region.
MISSION
The mission of the Tillo Athletic Association is to:
Provide a platform for young athletes, particularly from rural and underprivileged backgrounds, to showcase and develop their skills.
Organise state and national-level tournaments that bring recognition to Odisha’s sporting talent.
Collaborate with educational institutions and sports organisations to integrate athletic training with education.
Promote a culture of sportsmanship, discipline, and physical fitness among the youth.
VISION
The vision of the Tillo Athletic Association is to:
Establish Odisha as a hub for sports excellence, fostering talent that competes at national and international levels.
Expand the Tillo International Cup into a globally recognised event.
Develop world-class sports infrastructure at the Hanuman Jew Mini Stadium in Tillo, enabling it to host major sports events and training camps.
